Flintshire-based rider at Badminton

THE only Wales-based rider competing in this year's Badminton Horse Trials, is set to perform in the dressage today (Saturday, 6th May).

Emily King, the daughter of eventing royalty Mary King, grew up in Devon, but is now based near Holywell, Flintshire.

Emily, 27, rides Valmy Biats, a 16.2hh bay gelding.

Emily will be aiming for her first Badminton completion with Valmy Biats, after the pair placed 8th in the 5* at Pau in October.
